So many recipes call for vegetable broth and it’s always better and cheaper to have your own. Use the recipe below for a perfect vegetable broth every time.

Black Peppercorns


Roughly chop all the vegetables and add them to a large stock pot.

Cover the vegetables with cold water.

Add the bay leaves and black peppercorns. Simmer everything over medium low heat for 45 minutes.

Stain the broth through a fine mesh sieve or strainer. Use immediately or cool and save for later use in the fridge for 7 days or the freezer indefinitely.
